In 1991 the USSR collapsed in only a few days and was divided in several new indepent countries. Now 20 years later a new generation resurrects, for who the iron curtain and the cold war are nothing but terms for history lessons. But at the same time some of the older population look back with melancholy at the old Soviet period. The Canvas-series “Back in the USSR” comes with a web app, that not only covers the four episodes, but also adds a bunch of extras in a handy thematical and geographical setting. This is an online travel journal, with extra images, information, interviews and maps.
