Dust Radio. A Film About Chris WhitleyMichael B. Borofsky, Jonathan Mayor

Chris Whitley is far from an unknown in our country. In the eighties he briefly lived in Ghent and became the father of a baby girl named Trixie. "Dust Radio" picks up in the nineties, when he made the album "Living with the law" in New York, together with Daniel Lanois. A true masterpiece, it introduced the world to his voice, his slide guitar and his songwriting skills. A career as an international star seems to be within reach, but Chris - gentle but stubborn - refuses to become a part of the commercial circus of the music business and goes his own way. It did not make him a rich man, but it earned him the respect of many music greats and turned him into a cult icon.
