KarsuMercedes Stalenhoef

They call her the Dutch Norah Jones. She discovered her musical ambitions playing the piano in her parents' restaurant. Karsu's unique singing style, which combines Turkish influences with slow jazz, has made her a star in the international jazz scene. But young Karsu is not about to let that get to her head. Before conquering the stage, she wants to graduate from high school, an accomplishment her parents feel very strongly about. "Karsu" is a subtle, rhythmically edited coming-of-age film about an ordinary girl with an extraordinary gift.
