The Living Room of the NationJukka Kärkkaäinen

A poetic film that takes place in six Finnish living rooms. The inhabitants struggle with loneliness, alcoholism or amorous problems. They are all looking for friendship, love, recognition and understanding. With brutal intimacy and veering between deadpan slapstick and depressing pathos, Living Room of the Nation tells the story of a few disfunctional personalities. At the same time, it is a universal story of decay and human life.
