The September IssueR.J. Cutler

Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of the American edition of Vogue, is a force to be reckoned with in the threehundred billion dollar global fashion industry. In fact, she has the power to make or break anyone trying to be a part of this tough as nails business. Vogue’s September issue, considered the “Bible of fashion”, traditionally kicks off the new fashion year. Millions of fashionistas religiously pick it up in stores. Putting the issue together takes eight months of hard work, by fashion designers, photographers, stylists, models and people working close to Wintour. Everyone walks on egg shells, trying to come up with something that will please Anna “Nuclear Winter”. The September issue of 2007 was the biggest edition ever, weighing over half a kilo. This documentary takes a look behind the scenes of Manhattan’s best kept fashion secret.
