Coral City is the result of a unique collaboration between documentary festival DOCVILLE and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Documentary makers were paired with scientists, resulting in two short scientific documentaries: Coral City and Testerep. Filmmakers Camille Ghekiere and Charlotte De Cort travelled with scientists Marc Kochzius and Kushlani Dissanayake on their underwater expedition for Coral City. They observed how Dissanayake draws her own motivation as a mother to find scientific solutions for the endangered coral reefs.
