The delightfully weird frontman of The Van Jets goes solo as Johannes Is Zijn Naam and revives Henri Storck's 1948 documentary on Rubens. The film, which was tremendously innovative at the time and brought Ruben's pictorial world to life using special cinematographic techniques, gets an eccentriccontemporary soundtrack with meandering poetic lyrics, sizzling rhythm boxes and primitive synths.
