The Bibi Files
Alexis Bloom United States 2024 115 min.
An unsettling account of the police interrogations of Benjamin Netanyahu, who was charged with bribery and corruption. Using leaked footage of those interrogations, this disturbing documentary reveals a disconcerting picture of an ‘emperor’ and his family, who are particularly haughty towards their own country's police forces.

The bloody war in Gaza has pushed it somewhat to the background, but already in 2019, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's longest-serving prime minister, was accused of bribery and corruption. He and his wife Sara allegedly received gifts worth a quarter of a million dollars. These charges led to widespread protests within Israel. Netanyahu's response during the interrogations is petulant or shrugging, his wife and son downright furious and indignant. But the film's real strength lies in the accumulation of testimonies from others about the Netanyahu's arrogant entitlement and paranoia.
