January 2021, the UK is still in lockdown due to COVID-19. To pass the time, two unemployed actors, Sam Crane and Mark Oosterveen, play Grand Theft Auto online. While playing, they find a hidden amphitheatre, which serves as a concert and event venue. The crazy idea of giving a digital performance of Hamlet there is born. While performing some monologues, they are interrupted by other players who open fire, but they persevere and the plan only gets bigger. They set up auditions, do rehearsals and have to overcome all sorts of technical difficulties. The crazy idea becomes a source of stress, yet they persevere. Because the plan offers solace, connection and purpose in bizarre times of isolation.
