1997: Birth of the Camera PhoneJonathan Ignatius Green

The story of the very first picture send by a cell phone, included a great deal of DIY-craftsmanship.

1997 was a fruitful year for Philippe Kahn. He not did not only invent the first camera for cell phones but also his daughter Sofia was born. But there is more: both events occurred on the same day, there for the first picture send by the cell phone was one of his new-born daughter. A heart-warming anecdote about the fatherhood of an inventor.

This short film will be screened before the feature film Nokia Mobile: We Were Connecting People.
