Grensland follows the live of five people in a social neighbourhood. Daily they have to fight the prejudices around work and poverty. The narrator is Luc, an ex-bank manager and informatician, who is falling more and more down after his redundancy in 2003. Pascal used to be homeless but now he is trying to lead a normal live with the help of a new job. Martine, a single mother with 8 kids, is scared to leave her house. She is scared of what people may think of her. Sylvére, who lost an arm in a labour accident, wants to show the outer world that he isn’t written off. He is constantly working in his garden and house. After a hard cancer fight and a difficult divorce, Tine still finds the energy to stimulate people around her.
