ScrewballBilly Corben

A funny detective story about a doping scandal. It does not sound like your average documentary because it is not. Director Billy Corben made an exciting and hilarious documentary about one of the biggest scandals in the world of American sports.

Like no other, award-winning filmmaker Billy Corben (Cocaine Cowboys, The U) knows how to find the most colorful figures for his documentaries. This time he focuses on Anthony Bosch, a key figure in an immense doping scandal involving the legendary New York Yankees. As a self-proclaimed specialist, Bosh convinced elite athletes to become clients, superstars who would later deny any involvement - in vain and despite overwhelming evidence. Too crazy to be true, and that's why Corben chose a bold but very successful intervention: for the so-called reenactments of events Corben uses children. This very successful procedure speeds everything up and makes the detective story - even for laymen - extremely entertaining.
