My Kid Could Paint ThatAmir Bar-Lev
This film tells the unlikely story of Marla Olmsted, who at only four years old made abstract paintings worth millions. A portrait of a prodigy and her family, but also something of a whodunit. Some suggest Marla doesn’t paint her own work. What makes this film truly fascinating, though, are the questions raised. What is (abstract) art? Is there such a thing as good and bad art? Is the value of works of art intrinsic or does it depend on the context? And what is the relationship between art, the media, marketing and commerce?
